How did you know that engineering is your vocation?
"The first time I developed some electronics myself was in the thesis of my apprenticeship. It was a test station, intended to test a simple printed circuit board. I enjoyed working out the concept, developing the circuit and putting the test station into operation. At that time, I decided to study electrical engineering."
Why did you choose AMETEK CTS?
"I worked for Teseq in Switzerland when it was acquired by AMETEK CTS. I had just finished my EMBA in Innovation Management and in the new organization I was given the opportunity to change from an engineering position to a role that combined management and engineering."
What are your responsibilities at AMETEK CTS?
"I’m responsible for the hardware engineering and the production engineering team. Together with my teams I’m responsible for the development of new products, the transfer of these products from engineering to operations and the maintenance of existing products."

"I have in my teams highly skilled and motivated employees. I have a good working relationship with my line manager as well as with other managers on my level. My work is still close to the technology and to the product."
What would you tell a friend who starts in AMETEK CTS, what he/she will expect?
"You will work in an international team with Swiss, German and French employees in a company that is market-leader in the development and manufacture of EMC test equipment. The projects and the work are always interesting and demanding."

How did you know that customer support is your vocation?
"In our daily lives, we are also customers. Be it at the grocery store or any other situations where we act as a consumer. We, as customers, want to receive great support and attention all the time. This is what I do when I interact with our customers. I provide them with excellent service and support the same way I want to be treated if I am a customer. Like the saying, “Do unto others as you would have them to unto you” 😊

"My responsibilities are very diverse which is what I like about my role. I wear a lot of hats at the company: customer service, accounting support, sales operations, just to name a few but my main responsibility is to make sure that day to day customer support activities are carried out correctly and smoothly."

How did you know that service is your vocation?
"Let me give you an example at first. If you walked into a restaurant. Imagine the food was delicious and the environment was good but waiters offered you a bad service. Do you want to go there again? I do not think so. I actually thought every successful company in the world could not live without a good service."
Why did you choose AMETEK CTS?
"I was working in EMC industry for seven years before I joined in CTS China Team. When I was thinking about EMC test equipment, the first corporation into my mind was Ametek CTS. The company acquired four well-known brands—TESEQ, Emtest, IFI, Milmega— including most of the EMC test instrument and at the first class in the industry. I am proud of being one of them."
What are your responsibilities at AMETEK CTS?
"Diagnose and resolve instrument fault conditions and measurement issues. Providing technical training and support to customers and routine instrument maintenance training during installation."

"Being a service engineer is not like doing some typical daily jobs. In here I get a lot various of problems every day. Some of them are quite difficult. After conquering those issues, it brings me a great sense of achievement and accomplishment."

"Do not be afraid to ask questions and do not be ashamed to express your opinions. People in here are so kind and love to help you. You will know latest standards, new products, and more EMC industry news. Be patient and learn step by step, you will be making a huge progress."
